About our Function Room
Situated on the lower ground floor of Hennesseys Bar our room is perfect for all types of celebrations and events and is completely private with its own facilities. Ideal for birthday parties, Engagements, Christenings, Funerals, corporate events, club nights & fundraisers.
We do accommodate events where guests are charged to attend. Subwoofer speakers are not permitted.
Capacity
The maximum capacity of the room is 150 people. The room contains pub style tables and chairs with seating for up to 100 people. Capacity varies dependent on requirements and room set up, we can discuss your individual requirements with you.
Room Hire Charges
Standard hire is for up to 6 hours with a staffed bar. Rates are reduced if a minimum spend is achieved.
The minimum spend includes all purchases made at the bar at your event and any prebooked buffet purchases. Refunds are provided within 48 hours after your function subject to terms & conditions.
Monday to Thursday £200
Returned in full if a minimum spend of £1000 is achieved
Fridays £300
£200 Returned if minimum spend of £2000 is achieved
Saturdays and Sundays £500
£300 returned if a minimum spend of £2000 is achieved
Facilities
The room offers great facilities to make your event even more enjoyable. You can make use of any of the following
Audio and Visual
Audio
You can connect to our sound system using a Mini jack to standard phono cable. This is suitable for background level music or presentations. You are welcome to arrange to come in ahead of your function to test the equipment.
This is not suitable for DJs and bands, they would need to supply their own sound system.
Visual
The room has 7 TVs. You can connect your device to all of the TVs using a standard HDMI cable
Microphone
We can supply a microphone for speeches. We do charge £100 deposit for this, which is fully refundable on the return of the microphone.
Background music
There is background music available to play as standard in the room. This will have set playlists that you are unable to change. If you want to play your own playlist you can do so by connecting your own device to the system.

We offer session and premium beers on draught together with an extensive range of bottled beers, wines, spirits & cocktails.

You can provide your own decorations. Â If you need help finding a provider we can recommend people we have used before and have been very happy with their service.

Please discuss access requirements with us direct, we will always aim to accommodate the needs of your suppliers but always check with us first that the room is available.
Some suppliers collect at the end of the party and some need their products stored and collected the next day. It is important that your supplier knows that whilst we will take every care to secure their products we take no responsibility for anything left. Collection can be arranged from 10am the next day. If the room is in use the next day we may need to move any products to another location to allow for cleaning and set up for the next event.
Entertainment
You can supply your own entertainment, or we are happy to help you find entertainment that is right for you. We can provide details of providers we have used before. We always recommend you deal direct with entertainment providers yourself so that you ensure your precise needs are met.
