Many thanks for your brilliant support for the evening.
The charity ‘My Name’5 Doddie’ has gained £5k towards bringing hope and relief to thousands of MND sufferers.
More importantly this was the kick off event for the year of fundraising, the initiator of strands of ideas that will spread from that night to all of the Greater Birmingham rugby clubs.

On a more selfish note the rugby crowd loved your venue, some of us until far too late, and the service you guys provided, made it a stand out event!

I hope that the Rugby World Cup breakfasts are a resounding success, I will certainly be joining with a few of the gang to enjoy at least one of them.

Love this place on the weekends, the music is always really good. Every time I’ve been it hasn’t been busy, I’m assuming it’s because of the location more than anything. They play alot of old school bangers, plenty of room for dancing. Smoking area is huge with seating outside as well.

A huge thank-you to you and all the staff at Hennessey’s Bar for making Saturday night a special night and a truly fantastic start to the North Midlands RFU Charity Fundraising in our Centenary Season. We raised £5,000 on the night and that has been a truly special starter for our fundraising but not only that, it has made more people aware of the awful disease (to quote Doddie Weir),Motor Neurone Disease.

Saturday night certainly set the level for other events to try and emulate. I lost count with the number of comments (including the speakers Roger Uttley & Steve Lloyd) about how ideal the room was for such a function. In fact the approach through the main bar area just set the tone – a great set-up.

Your staff were most friendly and helpful throughout the night plus when setting up the room and collecting the displays the next morning (or was that the same morning!) – your staff are a credit to Hennesseys Bar.

I sincerely hope you get a lot of support for the World Cup breakfasts and I would not be at all surprised to see a few who attended on Saturday pop along to at least one breakfast – I will certainly join Mick Lee in trying to attend at least one event. I hope you are able to watch a few of the matches yourself.

CB Chairman Club Support & Development NMRFU Centenary Season Charity

Come here regularly to watch the rugby with a group of friends. Always a good atmosphere, plenty of screens, large beer garden for the summer and has heaters in the winter. The food is standard pub grub but i good value for money. The drinks are well priced and there is a very large selection available. The staff are very helpful and friendly – recently arranging for a rugby match to be shown on a specific screen for our group which made for a great afternoon. If watching sport for a major match i’d advise booking ahead but otherwise there are usually a few tables available.
